We left our outstation at the gateway to the Sunshine Coast at first light, and met this merry fellow soaking up the early rays.

We’ve been hoping the rain that we saw yesterday gave us some south easterlies to send us up the coast. Which it did…for perhaps an hour. Here’s me and my friend sailing valiantly into a dying breeze…

We motored into smugglers later on. My comment to J. Is that he put this place on the itinerary to loosen my nerves up for what’s to come. Here’s a shot of the entrance.

First stern tie of the year…frankly, I think I need a band following me on the dinghy playing the Benny Hill theme.

Onwards tomorrow on our quest north bound.
